Details
Using skills passed down for generations, revered Japanese artisans still produced cords made from silk that have great strength and durability. Japanese woven silk cord was discovered hundreds of years ago by the first European explorers visiting Japan. The Japanese have traditionally used this type of cord for such demanding vital applications as securing battle armor and Samurai sword sheathes. Artisan & Artist took this ancient craft and applied it to modern camera straps creating the ACAM-301 in Black, Silver, Kaki and Red.
Luxurious in its feel and stylish in its appearance, the Artisan & Artist woven silk cord camera strap feels as good as it looks. Since it’s made from silk, the natural material is comfortable in any weather because it allows the skin to breathe through it.
The special weave using so many strands of silk takes what is thought of as the most delicate material and creates a cord is virtually unbreakable and very durable. The ends of the cord strap are leather-clad and sewn together using the strongest of thread and technique to secure the attachment rings. This strength and durability means never having to worry about the camera falling because of frayed ends.
